Welcome to Grewelthorpe CE Primary School.

Whether you are a parent or a visitor to our school, I’m sure you will find us a warm and welcoming community.

Our school is a place where young children arrive at 4 years old and grow into self-confident 11 year olds ready to go forward with their educational lives. A lot happens in between, and we pride ourselves on giving the very best opportunities for children to learn both socially, physically and emotionally as well as intellectually.

Schools are much more than places for children to learn. They should be the focal point of the community and places where life long learning can take place as well. We regard the partnership of parents and school as being of the highest importance. Many parents have taken up the opportunity to learn about school life through attending special assemblies, class outings, helping regularly in classrooms and of course taking up places on courses that we run for parents.
